Diversity and inclusion in the classroom

Since diversity and inclusion should be part of the everyday classroom experience, school staff need to get training on the corresponding topics. A new open educational resource (OER) now provides such training: In self-study units, the "Diversity & Inclusion in Education" OER from EUniWell teaches basic skills in the areas of diversity and inclusion.
The approximately eight-hour learning module is primarily aimed at teacher education students, but it is also open to lecturers in teacher education programmes, school teachers and a wider audience in the university education context. After successfully completing the final test, participants can receive a certificate of participation.
The self-study module was developed by an international team from the European University for Well-Being (EUniWell) in the focus area "teacher education", which is coordinated by the University of Konstanz. Sarah Roos, Manuela Ulrich, Michael Kowalczyk and Sebastian Tillmann from the University of Konstanz were involved in creating the materials.
The OER "Diversity and Inclusion in Education" is available from the central open education repository of the universities in Baden-Württemberg (ZOERR) and from the EUniwell course catalogue.
