The FabLab at the University of Konstanz is a workshop with various tools and digital production options that is available once a week for anyone to use. If you are interested, simply come to one of the regular introductory events and register as a user. You can get started straight away at many of the workstations after a short general safety briefing. For some machines, additional training is required.

In addition to a wide range of tools and materials for woodworking or electronics projects, the FabLab offers tools for digital production processes, e.g. several 3D printers, a CNC milling machine, a laser cutter and an entire "textile laboratory" with computer-controlled sewing and embroidery machines, a cutting plotter and a transfer moulding press for iron-on printing. A contact person is always on site to answer questions and provide assistance. All introductory courses and the use of the various tools are provided free of charge. Visit the FabLab and implement your own project idea – regardless of whether it is a scientific or private project!

Once a week, the FabLab Konstanz opens its doors for the public. Information about the equipment and opening hours as well as public training and events is available on the FabLab Konstanz website.
